A Datamash Mashet is any site, document, picture or text that you have connected to another Datamash Mashet by establishing live data connections between the two. We use the term Mashet to combine the simplicity and intuitive concept of widgets with the power of application mashups.
You can, for example, set up connections between elements of your Facebook page to your blog, your smartphone input form with your employees's map to see where they are, your Google widget to your spouse's mobile phone, or a spreadsheet to a web page. Datamash Mashets let you combine data from your professional life with that of your social networks.
Datamash Mashets simplify and extend your internet presence by linking data between applications and sites you use automatically publishing changes to connected data in real time. With Datamash Mashets, you see information from, and publish information to, more sites, documents and applications than you can by trying to view each one separately.
Datamash tools let you "widgetize" any site, document or application you already use, create new connected Mashets or download and use any of the thousands of Mashets posted on the Datamash website. Mashets are created and connected without writing any code or downloading and installing any applications or directories. Connecting data elements between Mashets just copy/connect, similar to copy/paste in desktop appilcations.
Datamash technology is a platform operating in any browser, mobile device or computer with at least occasional internet access. You can use your Datamash Widgets, post them on the Datamash website and share them with friends or colleagues.
Datamash lets you easily expand the features of things you already use. For example, you can take an old fashioned widget, convert it to a dynamic picture with live data feeds, publish it on your blog or send it to your associate's mobile phones.
This is the first generation of the Datamash platform. There is a lot more coming...
