Datamash Mashet

Datamash Mashet

Mashet was coined by Rod Boothby in his blog on June 24th, 2006. He meant something else, but we took this term. Datamash Mashets combine mashups and widget ideas as used in Web 2.0 context in a much more powerful way to simplify and extend use of information on the Internet. We implemented Datamash Mashets by adding them standardized server-side piece of code with ability to connect each other - Software Chips. This powerful trick gives us an ability to turn such toys as widgets into much more promising Mashets. Datamash Mashets have live bi-directional connections between data elements of many different applications, documents and sites reducing the number of places needed to accomplish more while online. Mashets connect social sites, professional documents, blogs and web services in individually configured scenarios. They are easy to create or modify and free for casual users.
