Sometimes a WordPress blogger needs to publish constantly changing information. The blog will have a much longer life if the content in it is constantly updated to reflect these changes.
For example, you can write a blog post about gas price."It is obvious that gas prices are going up and up. When I wrote this post the gas price was $4.02 per gallon in the nearest gas station next to my place. You are reading this right now and the price today {Datamash TodayDate} is {Datamash TodayGasPrice}. You can see that change is almost {Datamash (TodayGasPrice- $4.02)/TodayGasPrice*100}"
You see that you used variables here which are really data feeds to your blog post. To create a Wordpress Mashet, write the blog as usual, then connect the data feed to the data source. Here is how to do this.
Creating a WordPress Mashet requires the Datamash plugin to be installed on your WordPress hosting place. Download it and install.
You can also allow your blog readers to use this data feed. They copy the URL of the feed and insert it into any other Mashet. Read more about this feature.
Some Datamash Mashets can be used in WordPress blogs without the plugin. On this page you can see a collection of such Mashets.
